Discuss with us beforehand what you want to take care of yourself. Think carefully about how much you can actually do on your own and how easy you want your move to be. If your removal professionals pack for you, we will of course bring suitable packing materials with us.
If you are packing yourself, remember to buy good removal boxes.
You’ll find all the packing materials you need in our removal shop in Pontresina (Via da la Staziun 38).
The special boxes for glasses, books, and clothing are designed to facilitate transport and protect your belongings. You can also rent these.
✔Take care not to make boxes too heavy, close them secure – especially the bottom – and remember to label them, too.
Another tip:
✔ write on each box which room they should be put in.
This is more useful to your helpers than an inventory of their contents.
🕒 Plan well in advance and let us know your wishes as early as possible. Services not agreed in advance – such as boxes that we must pack for you at the last minute, on the day of your move – slow the removal process, cost time and may well cause the quoted price to increase.
A furniture hoist can be the ideal solution if you want to get things done as quickly and easily as possible. Wherever possible, your removal professionals will move your furniture out of the window.
We will either integrate the furniture hoist into our removal operations or you can book it separately to move with your friends’ help.
Hire costs CHF 145 per hour and includes a hoist operator.

Moving day has finally arrived.
It is perhaps understandable that it can sometimes make people nervous. Because even with the best preparation, a lot can still go wrong on the day. Don’t worry though!
If you are moving with PIZ3, your relocation team leader will be available on site to deal with any incidents and issues that may arise. This will help to prevent any chaos and ensure the situation remains under control at all times. Your nerves will thank you for it!
It is important to keep the stairwell and entrance area clear on this day to avoid any accidents.
Show your removal team around right at the start and draw their attention to fragile and dangerous items.
Wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear to help reduce the risk of accidents.
And if you can’t or don’t want to be there in person on moving day, then that’s no problem either.

There couldn’t be a more relaxed move!
If you move with PIZ3, your relocation will be insured up to CHF 100,000. Our liability insurance up to CHF 10 million will of course cover any damage that we are responsible for.
This is not enough for you? No problem! You also have the option of taking out all-risk insurance to cover the entire replacement value instead of just the usual current value.
Speak with your PIZ3 removal consultant if you have valuable items that need to be insured to a particularly high level.
While you may be excited about your new home, you need to hand over your old residence first.
This can be tricky, so be sure to pay close attention to the following points when cleaning and completing the handover for your old residence: as the tenant, you must pay for excessive wear and tear.
✔ Ensure that any holes in the walls have been carefully repaired and any dirty walls painted.
✔ The floor must also be checked for excessive wear and damage and, if necessary, professionally repaired.
✔ Check the handover inventory to see what damage was already there when you took over the apartment – then you do not have to repair it.
✔ You can either take care of the cleaning yourself or have the cleaning done professionally. If you choose the second option, be sure to obtain a quote from a cleaning company – or, even better, two companies – and make sure that they offer a handover guarantee. For if any objections are made to the state of cleanliness, the apartment will have to be cleaned again.
✔ During the handover, be sure to draw up a handover inventory with the landlord/lady or new tenant, and make a note of all meter readings, just to be on the safe side.
✔ If you want to clean yourself, clarify with the landlord/lady what needs to be cleaned how.

If friends are helping with your move, you can maybe expect something to get broken. You can minimise this risk by moving with professionals ...
That being said, we are also only human and while very rare, we removal professionals may still break something. If you notice any damage during the move, please be sure to make a note of it on the removal order.** If you only notice the damage after the move, you should report this to us in writing within three days. Either way, we can already guarantee** now that we will replace any damaged items to your full satisfaction or repair them in such a way that no trace of the damage can be discerned.
